Based in Chelsea, London, Melissa Wyndham has long been recognised as one of the UK's top interior decorators. Having worked in many of Britain's most beautiful houses, Melissa is renowned for her versatile, elegant style which achieves relaxed, comfortable and understated room settings, mixing contemporary and antique to great effect.
Melissa's wide ranging portfolio encompasses small London flats to large country houses within the UK, The USA and Europe and her projects are frequently featured in such publications as World of Interiors, Architectural Digest and House and Garden.
"What makes my job interesting is the sheer variety - I love to work with modern architecture, furniture and fabrics as well as traditional interiors and have recently created a range of contemporary textiles and rugs." Melissa always works closely with her clients, many of whom return to her year after year such has been the success of the collaboration. Historic projects include Petworth House in Sussex, the Pugin interior of Lismore Castle in Ireland, Longleat House in Warminster, Glamis Castle, Mottisfont Abbey for the National Trust and Sothebys' London showrooms which sit alongside many notable modern commissions. She has recently completed a series of london townhouses, a revamp of some thirties government offices as well as a new build beach house in Cape Cod and a villa in Spain.
