Based in Chelsea, London, Melissa Wyndham has been working as an interior designer for over twenty five years in the United Kingdom, the USA and Europe. Having worked in many of Britain's most beautiful houses, Melissa is renowned for her elegant style which achieves relaxed, comfortable and understated room settings which mix contemporary and antique to great effect. She always works closely with her clients enabling her to better interpret their requirement and aspirations.

Acknowledging the design influence of her Great-Aunt Nancy Lancaster, the founder of Colefax & Fowler, Melissa is as happy working in a room of historic proportions and detail as in a difficult contemporary space.

Recent historic projects include Petworth House in Sussex, the Pugin interior of Lismore Castle in Ireland, Longleat House in Warminster, Glamis Castle, Mottisfont Abbey for the National Trust and Sothebys' London showrooms. Such projects sit alongside many notable modern commissions. She has recently completed a penthouse in Chelsea, a revamp of some thirties government offices as well as a new build beach house in Cape Cod and a villa in Spain.

Melissa lectures regularly at KLC Design School and at various venues here and overseas and is also known for creating a range of contemporary carpets and fabrics.
